Disna has the informal status of the smallest cities of the republic.
The area of the forest fund is 101183 ha, including the forested area of 68780 ha, the forest lands are 73558 ha.
The forests of group I take 49525 ha, group II take 51654 ha. The average stock volume is 11374,8 ths m3, including 1614,5 ths m3 of ripe stand.
Young stock occupies 17594 ha, middle-aged - 31641ha, ripening stand – 13101ha, ripe and overripe stand - 6444 ha
